The Abdus-Saboor lab aims to provide a fun, supportive, and collaborative environment where exciting research is performed. If you are excited about the work we do and believe you could thrive in an environment where both high-level research and mentorship are deeply valued, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Please send an email with your CV and cover letter stating why you would be interested in joining our lab. Also send along contact information for three references. Prior experience with mice or sensory biology is not a prerequisite.
PhD students who are already at Penn and are interested in our work please contact me about rotation projects. If you are considering Penn for graduate school and our work in particular, you can apply to these graduate programs at Penn: Biology (http://www.bio.upenn.edu/programs/graduate/), Cell and Molecular Biology (http://www.med.upenn.edu/camb ), Neuroscience (http://www.med.upenn.edu/ngg/), or Pharmacology (https://www.med.upenn.edu/ggps/) program.
Penn students should send me an email and setup a meeting if you have some interest in the work that we do. In general, preference will be given to students who would like to begin in the lab in the fall or spring semester and stay to work in the lab in the summer. Students outside of Penn should also feel free to contact me, especially about summer research internships.
